the goddess in you

"The Goddess in You"
by Tim Kavi

while singing
the body
electric
the goddess
inside you
shines and shines

like a roaring fire
that quiets the
room
others admire
your beauty

but more
beautiful than
this
is the soul
contained
in your goddess
kiss

so many
admirers
bring you
companions
but those that
love your soul
will not be remiss

in expressing
their devotion
to the godesss

truly inside you.

(I am speechless as I write this. There is a hushed silence, the goddess is all around me..such welcome invitation, and eternal peace---T.K.)

  1. One good poem deserves another:

Hand in hand she took me home,
and with the faintest hint of worry:
    "now make your way
    in this strange new world
but remember from whence you came,
    for this place needs Love
    and simple games,
    to forget its burning shame."

I didn't know quite what she meant
but as I gazed into her eyes,
    she imparted me a knowing
that could cut through any lies.

After the briefest pause she turned and went,
    dissipating in the mist,
but though she wandered off again,
    I cannot forget;
    my beating,
    Holy,
    Divine Love,
    the Goddess of my Heart.

Thank you for inspiring me to write a poem, it's been a while!
