A puja poem of protest

A puja poem of protest
by Tim kavi

shaking my puja
everyday is better than
shaking my booty
better than shaking at all

what is the price
I say in the marketplace
will someone give me
one goddamned price?

I don't know
I don't think those
sunglasses are really
sun blockers

they won't lead to the walk of fame
while they may hide my eyes
no one remembers my name
anyway

laughing hysterically
laughing all the way to the bologna
across the floor
laugh laugh laugh
you disrespectful jailbred freak

laughlaughlaughlaugh
go ahead
but don't choke on your own
fucking saliva
you Pavlovian dog

barking your HAHAHA

you don't think you are such
you think you are your own master?
well, go get the bone
your master's bone!

rage against wall street
landlords who raise the rent so high
to drive you out
so they can do a few things
and charge more to the next guy!

some idiot relocated
will pay it; so happy to pay it
never knowing he's being played it

right? s'right
so go ahead and laugh
laughlaughlaugh
until you know what's up
then get your life straight

hubris burned wings
always cause the soaring souls
to be brought low
in humble feedings of crow!

jellied and jammed
white shirts by the end of the day
just buy another one
made in a sweatshop in Malaise-a

there is a twinkling
in the eyes of a banker
plotting and planning
while reading financials

isn't it nice and sweet
money makes the world go round
in a happy dine and greet
don't forget to use your credit cards.
