no fast exit (poem)

hey you
not so fast
where are you going?
I have swallowed
a globe as truth
flattened earth
has left me wanting
wondering
and now, wandering
where is the man
I once was?
the international
has consumed
all that he was
writing lines
in the sand
but it's not dismal
the voice
returns like a wave
breaking across the shore
where he still exists.
