Testimonial:

Tim's work evokes Claudio Naranjo's thoughtful analysis of patriarchy as the root cause of the great problem of modern civilization. Sometimes we discover, through love poems, the sacred goddess on the mountain path and our breath is taken away. Ascending Goddess is about those, and more, discoveries. Dr.Lonnie Rowell, University of San Diego

Tim Kavi says: In this novel, there's an embodied goddess in a robot body celebrating the freedom of all from oppression; especially women! Highly recommended!

What is the Narrow Ridge?

"By the Narrow Ridge, I mean that I do not rest on the broad upland of a system that includes a series of sure statements about the absolute, but on a narrow rocky ridge between the gulfs where there is no sureness of expressible knowledge but the certainty of meeting what remains undisclosed"--Martin Buber

"The narrow ridge is the place where I and Thou meet"--Martin Buber.

Influences From Mentors & Teachers

Influences From Mentors & Teachers
Dr. Christine Downing is a major influence on my work and ideas. She encouraged me in my writing during my days as a student at the California School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Downing, a trained Jungian analyst and specialist in Mythological Studies informed my work by her living example and classes and lectures on archetypes, the Goddess, and Existentialism.

Dr. Maurice Friedman was one of my mentors during my time at the Institute of Dialogical Psychotherapy and San Diego State University. One of the world's foremost experts on Martin Buber and the philosophy of dialogue, I spent many hours with him in numerous classes and personal time. Buber's philosophy in general and Dr. Friedman's contributions are major influences on all of my work
