In Love's Power (new poem)

In Love's Power

by Tim Kavi

In love's power

we have the grip

that will sustain us every hour

In love's power

we have the provisions

of happiness in a shower

there was a lonely man

who, finding love's power

he was freed in love

shackles broke from his hand

there is a lovely woman

encountering each other

they spoke, they called out

made one in love's power

the quietness filled with music

poetry, and love

he beheld her in passion

life's greatest joy!

walking in love's power

there are no more tears

only happy contentment

in each other's arms!

In love's power

there is an eternity

of kisses, hugs

and listening hearts!

So let us love

with the power of love

let us love

powerfully.

Poet's Afterword: We cannot underestimate the power of love. It will surprise you, lighting your darkest hour. It will cozy up to you when you think you are alone and no one understands you. It will hold your hand all along life's road. In love, we can reach out to the Other, and in love, they can choose to reach back. Hugs, kisses, and delights are in the eyes of each other for their beloved!  It will keep us and sustain us. Celestial Meadow (new poem)

Celestial Meadow
by Tim Kavi

gentle lands of rest
stretch across maps of peaceful
bliss of grassy green

my feet float on airy paths
of glorious silence
stretching to the horizon
sparse trees dot the place

that beckon to places
of pause and reflection
away from all the stress

away from racing thoughts
not just to survive
but to bravely exist

gentle bluebirds
of my Mother's voice
Gaia would you sing to me?
black crows wait to pick

but I know
that your beauty prevails
you will live longer
than humans have tread

oh pray
they will not kill you dead
for in your silence
they gravely mistake
you are not there

but there is only
too much noise
to hear you and be blest

but at moments like this
I only can gently walk
on the pillows
of your endowment

in the shadows of forest
and the paths of wooded trail
the stream flows nearby

into the ocean it flows
goes to the clouds
descends to the earth again
born again

to live again
and to see your glory
in forest, and stream
celestial meadows
where I see all my friends

playing again.

Kavita #332 (new poem)

Tim Kavi's Celestial Typists

Kavita #332
by Tim Kavi

the monkey runs around
laughing
his pursuers slip on
banana peels
and peach pits
are left glimmering in the sun

he is Sun Wukong
or Hanuman laughing
playing
tickling the underarms
until sages are almost
annoyed

the place is the jungle

22 celestial typists
type randomly
until all the names of God
are listed
quite by accident
until the paper is expelled

a well meaning sage
wanders by
almost blinded by the whiteness
of the page
he reads with wonder
and nods his head

a cosmic explosion follows

an old man buys his young
granddaughter ice cream
she smiles
he remembers when grand papa
did the same for him
he smiles

the nearby crows
hope the cone is dropped
on the way home
through the park
another child swings
and plays with balloons

life goes on.

Across the Landscape of Life (New Poem)

Across the Landscape of Life
by Tim Kavi

moving across my landscape
I noticed the bone flute playing
erhu too

your flowing gown
told me you were near
your graceful moving
I could hear

but you would bring life
and eternal youth
so my song starting playing
goddess in You
I am composed
to my last breath

Yet, I am never dying
but only alive in your love.

moving across my landscape
your eternal love flows
through mountains
and valleys
of plans mislaid
but in your love
only are kingdoms made

and when the waiting mortal
sees your love coming
he makes way
he makes way!

For in the gentle rising
of your sun's appearing
history was born again
in your love endearing.

So that when I as a mortal knew
that in every wind
every rain that fell
every cave that in darkness bled
your love
was ever the Great appearing
that I waited for
never fearing!

That you would come again
they will say
this was the song of my soul
moving across landscapes
of my living.

In the Mist (new poem)

In the Mist
by Tim Kavi

In the mist of that new morning
I knew nothing
(ecstatic quieting bliss)
no thing
Was more elaborate than this

to be loved
to be kissed
to be missed

by that that is without
by Her that loves

Those that imagine they have everything
might not even have this.
