I Looked At (new poem)

I LOOKED AT (New Poem)
by Tim Kavi

I looked at
water coming forth
from the rocks
streaming down
the mountainside
becoming a stream
a river
and then a mighty ocean

I looked at
the harbored life
living so small
I could not see
but still believed
becoming greater
swimming lives
across eternity's tide

I looked at
temples burning
incense in blossoms
of lovely surprise
becoming deities
in the smoke
that did arise
winged ministries fly

I looked at
my planet; hoping
for love to save it
some are sleeping
to garden it
to appreciate
Gaia's keeping
to nurture it

I looked at
starry skies
saw many suns
blinking in the night
realizing cosmic scale's
awesome humbling
powers; across the
vast cosmos

I looked at
me; and then You
saw a thunderous
glory in the meeting
of the between
You and I
face to face
in every place

where souls are greeting.

Love's DNA (poem) (Tim Kavi's VALENTINES BE MINE FOR NINE! Posting 1)

Love's DNA
by Tim Kavi

Infinite loves
bend in the helix
that becomes the
model
of coded
instructions
for the complexities
of yet more
design

in a love
that speaks to
another kind
of bonded pair

there
in our love
is the Nature's
schooling
natural selection
of destiny's
twisting

purpose

until there
is no drifting
as variations
and plans
unfold

as long
as poems
and songs
and novels
and stories

have been told

there is the
power
of love
to code itself and
rebuild itself
again and again

this is the love
that flows
in the between
in the
meeting
of person to person

the memories
of the whole
human race
the ancients
knew

what scheme is this
what dream

but
biology's
revealing
of something much
deeper

still
destined
in the human heart's will

to love
to say
to utter
beauty and true
words
with power

that say:
I love you!

Poet's Afterword:  My first selection in Tim Kavi's VALENTINES BE MINE FOR NINE is a love poem that reveals that although there is plenty of mystery in a love at first meeting---there is always the code that gets lived out between two loves.More tomorrow!~~TK

Heal Each Other (New poem)

he"Heal Each Other"
by Tim Kavi

and in the gleam of the madness eye
there is a long table
of eternal recurrence
that has no end
and no soulful sleeping

for the Earth has shook

but even there
is a between
transfixed
as I see my suffering
brother
friend
mother

Gaia
knows no earthlike song

in the collapsing
chaos
of poisoned
darkened
earth

where nothing
grows
but the distaste for
each other

such bitter
seed
nothing can grow
from it

until
they bind
each other's
wounds

her love
her creation and I
heal each other

before it is too late.
