observers of the vat (new poem)

observers of the vat (new poem) by tim kavi

There are some that say
we are but entertainment
cinema to the unmasked

basked outside the canvas
universal; universe-all canvas
of brave heroes, animas untold

in foreign lands, back home
dimensional palaces
outside tesseracted resurrected
mansions in our heavenly places

where walking across sandy shores
there are beaches of smashed
human castles, as epochs fade
history unravels in realizations

of absurd meanings
speckled across homecomings
to latex manufacturing
of synthetics; plastic to be heard

perhaps minding this place
in what seems to us
a vast cosmos; we are
in a vat; other beings to see

yet creating meanings
that search for transcendence
and finding freedoms
to move up higher

yet to find
meanings are in meetings
even other beings
a purposeful sea

so time moves us up from the vat?
what will we see?
another plane of existence
where we are partly free!

there is always the collapsing
entropy of seeming
decay; but one knows
intimately there is another way!

spoken only in shadows
of dreams and cave walls
the essence of human
spirits divinely touched

shall never fail
even if in a vat
or a cold cosmos
the heat of existence warms

itself in the love of being
loved and the discovery
of the free!

I Looked At (new poem)

I LOOKED AT (New Poem)
by Tim Kavi

I looked at
water coming forth
from the rocks
streaming down
the mountainside
becoming a stream
a river
and then a mighty ocean

I looked at
the harbored life
living so small
I could not see
but still believed
becoming greater
swimming lives
across eternity's tide

I looked at
temples burning
incense in blossoms
of lovely surprise
becoming deities
in the smoke
that did arise
winged ministries fly

I looked at
my planet; hoping
for love to save it
some are sleeping
to garden it
to appreciate
Gaia's keeping
to nurture it

I looked at
starry skies
saw many suns
blinking in the night
realizing cosmic scale's
awesome humbling
powers; across the
vast cosmos

I looked at
me; and then You
saw a thunderous
glory in the meeting
of the between
You and I
face to face
in every place

where souls are greeting.

Therapist Eyes (New Poem)

Therapist Eyes (New Poem)
by Tim Kavi

gentle words
spoken powerfully
in the therapist's eyes

no one is lost
forsaken not
surprised yes

the roads
of discovery
healing journeys
have a chance to begin

Now

look at the light
down the new roads
ends with smiles
in the faces
of hopeful change

and darknesses'
demise

simple things (new poem)

simple things
by Tim Kavi

simple things
are just a few words
but the words
are full of meaning

simple things
are behaviors that
offered to the masses
lead you to great mission

or maybe
just to love
and be loved?

did you ever see
a smile that lit up your world?
felt a hug that you knew
afterwards no matter what

everything would be ok?
swirls of wind did not
steal your soul
although it took all you had

that you would love again
that you would live again
did you ever see
a glance, no a looking
that said something to you

that besought you?
what is your answer
to the simple things
that show the suffering

in the world?

is it only the humble
open heart
to love back
to give something
to answer a call

the best you could
but with everything you are
these are the simple things
everywhere you go today
needing responses

to walk that way
for it always leads
to Nature
to the human
the human heart

and to compassion.

Universal Translator (New Poem)

Universal Translator
by Tim Kavi

your words are like kisses
our love is
the universal translator

your eyes
invitations to adoration
speaking a strong heart
of returned love

I beheld you
full of light
as you moved through
space and time

majestic sounds
my heart melts
like butter
in the heat of your love

where You and I go
what we say to each other
needs no translation

we are not 'lost in translation'
but found
in the arms of love

your kisses
are the painter's strokes
of desire

and the power of your
love reaches me inside
my heart
in every language

for universal
all reaching
to the uttermost
is what you say to me
in the language of your love.

Eyes Behind the Veil (new poem)

Eyes Behind the Veil
by Tim Kavi

In the eyes behind the veil
there is only the mystery of you
your soul dances
waits to be revealed

beholding You
your third eye darts
from face to face
we are falling to bliss

I cannot hold you
as I can barely and just now
see you, seek your kiss

I beseech you
wait for me
wait for me
so that my mortal love
may be caught
by your ongoing never ending
immortal love

for in you I am freed

and in your kiss
there is the longing
of the longtime lonely one
seeking her counterpart

the dancing free man
freed in your love
holding you
at last

we are both free
eternal flight
escapes this body's night

flying to where the soul
is not in a tent
and the face is not
behind a hidden wall

as the curtain is rent
I am in
the Holy of Holies
which is just you
and your arms

You
and your love

as the veil is cast off
and I see you
eye to eye

I am smelling your fragrance
it is natural
and like the wind
whispering your name

Shekinah
I utter as you move me
for I am colored
by your purple
clouds
pillars of smoke and fire

for your beauty is
unspeakable glory to glory
face to face
moved by your many arms
that embrace me from every place

singing rocks
cascading hills
stretch to the horizon
of greeting
tomorrow or yesterday
I look forward to
meeting

there is only You.

Burning Words (new Poem)

Burning Words
by Tim Kavi

burning words
drunken debauchery
filled the course of the wild
wood

where damsels wept
looking for love

minstrels played
poets spoke

but there was
for comedians
no joke

a shivering wind
ice storm of shit
hearts had grown cold

there was only a wee
chance of hope
and it seemed to be
getting old

somehow

creeping through the fog
there was yet
a great reckoning

a call to meeting
for the purposed
onslaught

to see each other
and love
what time
had forgot

but with the burning
word

the rebuke was square

let person to person

become heart to heart

secrets made bare
then they will
say God was among us
and let us pray

until the strength
of humanity's rebirth
brought them
to a return of
Sacred Earth

but then and only then
when hearts sow love
and community
is the crop

then there is
blessing in every drop

away from this
existential slop.

poet's note: a different kind of poem, hearkens to yesteryear.
a return to the madness of the prophet. --TK

presence (reposted poem) to all my friends: new and old

presence (a repost)
(to all my friends, new and old, especially the new ones)
by Tim Kavi

dancing beings
find each other
across many
lifetimes again
and again

why do they
find each other
sharpen each other
recoqnize each other
at such a time as then?

some flee again
as in great flight
some struggle
potential clashes
in a great fight

others turn softly
yet in might
urgency

heart to heart
there is a turning
a yearning
to know all
about the One

that you see
for the first time
there is a calling
to know

a setting sun
in the glance
of smiles
as the night
of mystery is begun

revealing
each other
taught by experience
what this life
might be

but when
the seeking ones
find each other
there is a shining oneness

that lights
the unconscious
night
shadows play
until real is seen

and at last
in dialogical meeting
a You is glimpsed

a Holy Presence
You are the
chrysalis emerged

in the glistening
mutual love
of You and me.
