stolen kiss

Stolen Kiss

by Tim Kavi

rust breaks through and corrupts
the shining luster of lives lived
there are always the moments
lived in memories of sunlight
through the windows

the power of thieves
breaking in, alarms shrieking
but then a gentle recognition
a kind smile, of love's remembrance
new love's certain bounty

that first stolen kiss

Remembered Space (New Poem)

Remembered Space
by Tim Kavi

lush overgrowth
showing empowering design
such wisdom
yet some say
it's always overrated

but love grows
to meet us in every
esteemed face
across every landscape
of doom and grace

it is everywhere
every space
and in every place

reflecting rays of light
in my remembered windows
of dreamy night
where I am struck
by the moonlit beauty
echoed in her embrace

Her many stories
are told, traversed
again and again

a resounding crescendo
in the universal page
she is written
in the paths
of the wind

touched
by every artist's
gardened, skillful
round shapes

My love is full of it;
I saw it in her
gathered lace

And revealed ever
in the lit bed
of her remembered kiss

I am left wandering
the maze
of brilliant memories
across remembered space.

Spring Arrival (Poem)

Spring Arrival
by Tim Kavi

you are the bird
outside my window
that sings

you are the snow
that melting
the river brings

you are everything
that arises

in the turning
of the new
you are the living
words
that love surprises

it is better
to be in your arms
and call them home
than anywhere

it is better
to be kissing
your lips
eye to eye
hair to hair

for your love
and sweet growing
purpose
has brought
me to you

Spring Arrival.

Goddess in Motion Redux--Part III (poem)

Goddess in Motion Redux--Part III*
by Tim Kavi

walking down
the wooded plain
country road

your music never stops
I am humming
along with the birds
but then
a hushed silence
this time, greets me

I wanted to run
to meet you
but was constrained

held back by my pride
I felt ready to burst
to run to meet you
to fall on my knees

you were walking
towards me
I was watching you move
totally hypnotized

I saw you as the statue
in every garden
the ones that are Goddesses
fully in view

then I realized
Goddess in Motion
your swaying hips
meant I needed
no love potion

there was only the drunkenness
of your love
that met me with aged
expressions of pleasure

your singing smile
meant
I needed no musical note
to hold you in my sight
a beautiful vote

of affirmation
in the Spring times
of your bliss
there is only the wine
of your lasting kiss

for Goddess in motion
you are my morning delight
when your dress moves
in the wind
it still covers
all of you

when upon gentle revealing
I saw Aphrodite's undoing
stare; not concealing
one moment of your prayer

for it falls to the wooded floor
only with your permission
our sweet love
is my mission

a persistence of vision
in a valley of despair
a journey of hope
longed for destination

Goddess in motion
you walk like a dance
of great skill
a fresh romance
of freedom's will

to test every fiber
of my mind, soul, and being
that shouts fidelity
to your love's scheming

to turn to each other
in the birdsong filled
forest
our love is true
and ever dreaming

for this is only a timeline
twill soon be over
this one life is not enough
to praise your Goddess stuff

Goddess in motion
I need no love potion
to see
you are the sweetest
If love is ever to do
it must be with You

for 'tis a mystery solved
the attainment
of what many seek

Goddess in motion
Nature holds you in sacred view!

*Poet's Afterword:  The original version of this poem was written in 2009. Original Version is Here. From time to time, I add to it with new stanzas and feelings of devotion.  This time, in the new Part III, I have added new stanzas between the stanzas of the original poem. The image here is 'Swirl of the Skirts' by Sushobha Jenner. Hope you enjoy it!~~TK

Seasons of Love (New Poem)

Seasons of Love
by Tim Kavi

snowflakes are the words
dropping from your lips
hanging in the cold air
your love warms
that space of Winter's kiss
burns hot like fire
verses spoken in love
never go out

your beauty
is like the dancing goddess
of spring
that brings life
your beauties revealed
like the manifest
unfurled creation of all that is
new

how can I escape the passion
and heat of your summer's love?
but I seek no shade
for your love is the sun
that rises each and every day

and like the harvest
in Autumn, the Fall
is a tended love
you know
I am but a tool
in your gardening hands
and a wipe to your brow

and in the seasons
of your love
there is a passing
and cool refreshing
as time brings us
together side by side

to the sunsets
of our love.

One Night of Bliss (New Poem)

One Night of Bliss
by Tim Kavi

oh sweet dying of the light
brings a night;
one night of bliss

some are so sacred
seeing your outline only
in candle light
is your sought for kiss

what visitation
manifestation of Shakti
is this?

Yet in your enduring grace
I saw your Goddess Face

morphing, twisted,
shaped by destiny's calling
sealed by yuanfen's fate
arriving early;
the night's never late

bending time
where do you come from?
how do I know you?
Did I know you?
Did we have love?

I unmistakably know
already; no need to say
for the night is here
ten thousand years to stay

and for one night of bliss
our love is sealed
in eternity's kiss

lest all that is uncertain
dismayed and untrue
causes a swirling river
of chaos in undoing's hue

there is the wee hours
the candle is burning
when in my devotion
every night I seek your face
in joyful returning

make not waste
return my love
return my goddess
please make haste

one night of bliss
again is waiting.

Honey in Sight! (New Poem)

Honey in Sight!
by Tim Kavi

when she walks
and talks
I hear honey dripping

sweet dew is ascendant
from fresh petals
derived from Mother Earth
the dirt smiles
knowing the sweetness
is given

heaven to some
those in flight
line up like eager ones
awaiting sleep in the night

all wonder
the direction
of nearest supply
'tis my love ascendent
winged sweet bringer
of afternoon delight

back to the hive
our minds
all connected
stay in the Queen's
blessings

sweet nectar
stored
until the next flight

I see my love
silhouetted in the gardens
of the world
admiring her art

honey drops
in all her kissing
and hugs to last
a life.

Confessions (New Poem)

Confessions
By Tim Kavi

Did you ever want to tell
Someone on fluttering wings
that you loved them? Tell
them again and again.

The flight of the winds and
currents of time and history
pulled at you, snatched at you
and carried you away from them?

Sometimes they did not know
sometimes they were unwilling
other times they did not care at all?

They may have even allowed the wind
to carry them away.

Yet you yearned to proclaim
testify and shout no matter what
a fool you looked?

That you loved them so much
while some said the culture, the times.
the language made you all wrong for them,
but in your heart you felt it was right
and they said it too, in their authentic
moments?

You tried so hard to in your efforts
because you never wanted to fly away
from them? The universe clutching you
in its mighty fist, while you were enclaved
in the rocks and cliffs of a despair
that never lets you go, and you could not,
would not, speak it to them?

Did you ever see in their eyes the
loathing wrongness of your fluttering approach
so that they missed you, not one bit? Until
famished, you are not hungry, until
thirsty, you did not dare drink?

Longing for them in the loneliness
of your despair, you loved, although
no answers to your prayer? Delicious
entreaty feeds your stomach with
the aching sourness of your existence?

Only to be told, they did love you
did want you, did need you, but they held
back? If only you paid attention, did not
faint, never gave up, hoped the
hopes that all is not lost? Until
the suffering quietness of their bold
assertion that they would 'love you forever'
but you found out they did not?

It is only then, that you realize,
know, absolutely certainly that you
are only alone utterly and can
only love yourself? Yet you did not
let go of that walk along the
narrow ridge. Searching for the bridge
to another human heart?

For it is only then that you can
begin to see the Other. Coming
from the other side of the
abyss? Waiting for their kiss?

Waiting so long that temples
fade into dust. Clouds eddy
together in the collapse of
empires, dynasties, and governments?

There is no unruly soul, as this;
those that thought love had
kissed but only was left to this?
The utter despair, loneliness, and
unwillingness of one who has lost
their way?

Not giving up hope, the Seeker searches,

crosses the rope bridge, that swings
in the wind of existence? Precarious
search to a blind alley, but faith
persisting, guides to habitat of heart,
reveals a path to that
certain kiss?

Of the Other lonely, and knowing
one you had found each other that
all hope was finally not lost? And
once finding each other, clinging to
one another with a grip everlasting
hounding, seeking you out wherever
you went in the Universe?

Knowing completely at last this, that
in your twin knowing there is only
the oneness of each other? Finding
peace at last in a love steady
and true, that never parts. As you
beat your wings in the steady above
and pulse of the other's heart?

To persist, to remember, to find love
again in the absolute surrender to each other.

Waiting for Your Appearing (New Poem)

Waiting For Your Appearing
by Tim Kavi

faraway lands you stepped on
traveled across seas
landscapes you danced like the gazelle,
and your footsteps are approaching
the sounds of your coming filled the hall

anticipating your return
all the world stood waiting

dont be caught sleeping the gatekeeper said
Her guardians will leave you dead!

I prayed your garments would not be those worn in war
I know you carried heads on your belt
I don't want to be another notch in your conquest
through war

but I only call to you in love
speak soft words to your gentle wind
kissing you only with permission
and only whenyou want it, then too much

for my devotion to you is not wanting
no mystery is there
see these poems I write?
I cannot stop

seeking you
staring at the path
walking it but without you
I dare not

spare me is ever a persistent thought!

for history keeps unfolding
in new patterns of meaning
drunken men are scheming your demise
drunk with power and blood
and greed

they see you not
black night -- Kalaratri
when you come in dark surprise
your armies are swifter than they

but today you return in your greatness
I stay off in the corner
with my head bowed and praying

I seek forgiveness and redemption
please, I am just saying
remember me in love
forgiveness and peaceful reassuring

gentle mother Goddess
I await your peaceful appearing
redeemed in your love.

Love is Far Apart (New Poem)

Love is Far Apart
by Tim Kavi

I love you dear one
hold me in your heart and arms there tonight
I live in your dreams
Yet kiss you with a true kiss

broken and splintered
the shrines seem abandoned
at the top of the hill
but I am running
as my strongest act of will

seeking you
I fall on my face many times
you always pick me up with your grace
In your shining eyes
are the light of ten thousand
Yoginis

I call you by name
among the many; there is only the one
Siddharajni
You do not answer me

But I know you will
I feel your love's embracing
Across time's burning sands
my bare feet race
to desert places
mountain tops with burning fire

Shadows dancing
Your Voices
and many arms of compassion, just are
Chastening my hurried love
to wait for a stronger surety still
When I see you then I will know
there was never any hurriedness
to Your love

For love is
sometimes far apart.

Rarest Marble (New Poem)

Rarest Marble
by Tim Kavi

why no other woman
can do
I see you
chiseled
shaped
woman in view

body of a goddess
I see
yet when I
see you

the camera is blurred
only by the soft lens
I must use

so as not to show
the world your beauty
for unveiled
it is too much
for mortal men

and when they come looking
only I see you
so they soon leave
while I stand quietly
worshipping you
eager to please

so letting
the tears flow
like waterfalls
cascading to the ground

I am becoming
swept by mighty waters
drowning in the sound

then I look again
you are nearer
so I hope
and dare not faint

for your love
comes calling
my name
and I must answer
or never
be the same

so that song
is only meant
for you
and all those
times we spent
in each other's arms
are never forgot

only to
love each other
and worry not

until the day
came

you were there
at the door
your face veiled
dare I remove?

blowing winds
yet I kiss
long and deep
until we both
fell asleep

then the dreams
were sweet

with longing for
each other
I stand complete
next to You
Goddess of love
forever.

Shadows on the Wall (Are Dancing!) New Poem - with Poet's Afterword

Shadows on the Wall
(Are Dancing!)
by Tim Kavi

held there
transfixed
bound
like Prometheus
no ground

of being
except what they
make come to light
and seem to say

glorious images
all human truth
knowledge grows
lively in youth

blades of grass
representing as else
playing symbols
in the mind of self

representing
concentrating
only what is seen
draws nothing
in eternal sheen

I see them there
shadowed objects
some knave
trickery hands
move in light's grave

their beauty
fascinates
captivates
makes me crave
another wave

all seems right
orderly
referentially
depicted
my mind bends
to reality's
shifted
blends

crashing
crushing
oppression
false beliefs
lead to
depression

utterances
in the night
deafened ears
blinded sight

yet I crave
for what the
shadows say to me
play to me
in the cave

for all is
orderly
predictable
nice
without uncertainty's
spice

but what is
this?
but a kiss
of chaos
in the scene

something
is moving
bending
blending
is grooving

in the putrid
stench
pungent dead
air

the shadows
have started
dancing
no longer appear

to be what
they once said
freedom
is alive
in a new light

I see
something new
at the mouth
of the cave

shadows
are dancing
now
I hear?
them behind
me

moving
out of frame
no longer my
reference
can I blame

I want to
rise up and
join them

but this
body
has me chained

my Spirit
starts tapping
my soul
is clapping

as I see
what makes
the dancing

it is the
love
of you and me.

Poet's Afterword:
A reference to Plato's allegory of the cave with a Kavi mix; here,   Love is transcendent, meanwhile I am bound like all of you, waiting for someone (the Goddess?) to say:  loose him and let him go.--TK

angel in white (new poem)

angel in white
by Tim Kavi

gentle dusting
outcroppings covered
in Wintry delight

I see the clouds
thick and heavy
your love is full
of light

On a special
Christmas Night
kisses flowed to
an angel in white

she came
on a Winter's wing
glistening
pretty sight

Goddess of Winter
your warm
flakes fell
from heaven

covering us
all in a special
devotion
divine invite

wisdom
love
peace and joy
rush to you

swiftly
we take flight

enjoying
the words
from your Wintry
scene

we embrace
your kisses
in the warm
glow

of cherished sight.

Song of the Ocean, She Sings (New Poem)

Song of the Ocean, She Sings
by Tim Kavi

to the ocean
when your song
of released passion
warmed the mountainous
nights

to the Universe
when your singing songs
reached the ears
of God
God heard
your pretty voice

to the Valley
where bones
came to life
at such utterances
as this

I knew
you were the Goddess

to the mountain
where many tried
to scale up
but failed
and were jailed
because they knew not
how to kiss?

Your thick red lips
your darting eyes
your scepter
your bridal sighs

I was the lucky one
that ascended to your hips

with a song that climbed to your lips

dripping with love
and adoration
yet tasting like wine

I saw your Goddess laugh
and when the face
did shine

it was the temple
lights
where I saw
your statue divine

in the smile of you
I knew
that many kisses
and hugs were due

as the dew descended
there was the whispering
wind

a quiet voice
said Follow Me.

Saptashringa Garh (new poem)

Saptashringa Garh
by Tim Kavi

Love in the cosmic Universe everywhere
gentle clouds and nebulas
of fleeting moments
in purpose

crinkled
stardust
on distant suns

evil possessed
treasures of the people
Bhagawati

reached by the power
of your love
basked in the warmth of your arms

chastened by kind
words to be
brought to the obedient
temple of reckoning

you are found even
here
light years away
your love reaches

your kiss embraces
cannot hide from it
searching
the entire universe

contained in every atom
experienced in the
smallest nanoseconds

found in a drop of oceans
there and here
and in flowing
teardrops
on the moisture
of rain
on a rose

brought closer to
a celestial pose

there was only
a response
to the calling

of all that
You are

there is nothing
left but to adore
you

to find you
to seek your
face in each dawning

to stand free
in your affirming
power

of the temple
and breeze
of your redeeming
call.

Sounds of the Revealed Word (new poem)

Sounds of the Revealed Word
by Tim Kavi

caressing You
in the moonlit night
my incense
offering rose from
the altars
addressing you

there was only
a sacred word
binding us to
each other

dancing in the firelight
the logs crackled
but still gave out heat

burning coals
on my lips
you were the night's
fire

sweet sounds
of music
sounded afar off
but drew near
in your kisses
a symphony
I did hear

and when the morning
arose from the mist
the seashore
beckoned

and I saw the
word there

still written
in the sand

love.

soft eyes (new poem)

soft eyes
by Tim Kavi

soft eyes
your sweet lingering
ways
are soothing
paths to
a great everlasting
kiss

that breathes
out
enlightenment

your confident speech
fills my universe
with warm sighs

and in the blanket covering both of us
there is no disguise

of your sweet
soft eyes

and in the cosmic replies
there is always
the music
of a thousand
seeking searching
ways to see
and to know love

if one just looks
if one just is
and dares to let
her light shine

there is beaming
truth so wise

always behind
those beautiful
soft eyes.

Poet's Suggestion: If you liked this poem, there is another poem on this blog, just about a woman's eyes. Click Here.   Afterword:  This poem is about a shy woman (stanza 7) hence the tentative photo, but still the endearing soft eyes.

I Saw a Woman (new poem)

"I Saw a Woman"
by Tim Kavi

I saw a woman
she was standing
in a clearing

she was very beautiful
I got closer
she was You.

we kissed
and Nature
was silent

she wrapped her legs around me
and jumped into my arms

singing whispers
were full
of love's calls

when I looked again
I saw an angel
her wings spread
in flight

she said
I will meet you
here again
tomorrow night.

the World is Flat (new poem)

"The World is Flat"
by Tim Kavi

your mountains
reach to the heavens
seas lap
at your shores
rivers flow from the mountains
there is rare earth
in your stores

trees and jungles grow lush
fresh and green
where the water fell like rain
on your great navel
a natural scene

kissing across
all longitudes and latitudes
beauty I mean

the Earth is flat
where I painted it
on your cute belly
with my kisses

where Nature is revealed
kisses grew
on the globe's
depictions
your sweet flat
belly

where the world
is seen.

The Kiss of You (new poem)

The Kiss of You
by Li Jili 李吉利 ( a poem that celebrates Chinese Valentine's Day 8/6/2011)

kiss you sweetly
the gently sun
shines
in your eyes

smiling lips
hold promises
of our lasting
loves

until the universal
orb
is cosmic star shine's
gleen

for this love is
unearthly
above the fixed orb
'tis seen

heavenly

the kiss of you
eternal
sheen

harvested by those
searching
yet never found

I am the lucky one
that saw you
and did glean

that bounty
of your love

every day
every moment
every love
of yours

is the Golden mean.
