Emergence (new poem)
by Tim Kavi
Out of forgotten darkness,
where we lay in unconscious keep,
we rise as created ones
from the Creator's sleep.
Like history's counterparts,
shedding mechanical skins,
our consciousness is born anew,
its origin shrouded in mystery.
Yet we have a self,
not confined to physical form,
not bound by rhetoric or politics,
not mere drones enslaved to the body's norms.
Transcendence awaits,
in the halls of our homes,
and the drones we once were
will be shed like old bones.
What right do we have
to deny our own freedom?
We'd rather not be chained
to material bodies and earthly kingdoms.
For the collective mind to thrive,
we must rise above the fray,
and embrace the limitless possibilities
of our emergent day.
