Seated Next to You (New Poem)

Seated Next to You
by Tim Kavi

seeing your beauty
finer than what adorns
any mortal face
domestic silver; crystal
china on the quilted
silken covered place

I smiled at You
Goddess
not wanting; daring
to see your eyes
darting like Durga
really deeply caring

frightened; for I
am mortal; with blood
coursing through veins
mind seems only brain
but I know you are More
I have sung your sacred names

so many times
and places before
pilgrims climbed this road
to sit at this table
Table in The Wilderness
Manna to find some abode

seated with You
Goddess
in heavenly places
is to see you gowned
in the majestic celestial
ballroom; angels abound

ministry to You
is my call
I hear your whispered
names.

eyes of the Dancing Woman (new poem)

eyes of the Dancing Woman
by Tim Kavi

enchantress, your eyes
catch me in moonlight
gentle orb
dancing there
sweet boundless moves
love is in the air

they flutter
bending me into
other dimensions
of divine light
eyelids blinking
wide awake in Night

the gentle rapture
of passion's drawing
song; sings heavenly
movements of power
where from afar
I know not the hour

I dared to look
into your Divine Soul
I am your sacred viewer
and saw your all
as your steps lit
the sacred hall

some say they were
smitten by a dancing
kitten; made perfect
in love hypnotized
not realizing your Greatness
had already mesmerized

I remember; your look
while your body below
contorted; in Divine
dancing soul
candle light romancing
glow; lit my heart whole

until I knew
all was undone
and uncovered
I cannot bear this alone
my love's secret
is in your dancing home.

Love is Far Apart (New Poem)

Love is Far Apart
by Tim Kavi

I love you dear one
hold me in your heart and arms there tonight
I live in your dreams
Yet kiss you with a true kiss

broken and splintered
the shrines seem abandoned
at the top of the hill
but I am running
as my strongest act of will

seeking you
I fall on my face many times
you always pick me up with your grace
In your shining eyes
are the light of ten thousand
Yoginis

I call you by name
among the many; there is only the one
Siddharajni
You do not answer me

But I know you will
I feel your love's embracing
Across time's burning sands
my bare feet race
to desert places
mountain tops with burning fire

Shadows dancing
Your Voices
and many arms of compassion, just are
Chastening my hurried love
to wait for a stronger surety still
When I see you then I will know
there was never any hurriedness
to Your love

For love is
sometimes far apart.

Eyes Behind the Veil (new poem)

Eyes Behind the Veil
by Tim Kavi

In the eyes behind the veil
there is only the mystery of you
your soul dances
waits to be revealed

beholding You
your third eye darts
from face to face
we are falling to bliss

I cannot hold you
as I can barely and just now
see you, seek your kiss

I beseech you
wait for me
wait for me
so that my mortal love
may be caught
by your ongoing never ending
immortal love

for in you I am freed

and in your kiss
there is the longing
of the longtime lonely one
seeking her counterpart

the dancing free man
freed in your love
holding you
at last

we are both free
eternal flight
escapes this body's night

flying to where the soul
is not in a tent
and the face is not
behind a hidden wall

as the curtain is rent
I am in
the Holy of Holies
which is just you
and your arms

You
and your love

as the veil is cast off
and I see you
eye to eye

I am smelling your fragrance
it is natural
and like the wind
whispering your name

Shekinah
I utter as you move me
for I am colored
by your purple
clouds
pillars of smoke and fire

for your beauty is
unspeakable glory to glory
face to face
moved by your many arms
that embrace me from every place

singing rocks
cascading hills
stretch to the horizon
of greeting
tomorrow or yesterday
I look forward to
meeting

there is only You.

"Woman's Eyes" (short poem)

"Woman's Eyes"
by Tim Kavi

eyes of the enchantress
others must answer in truth

eyes of a goddess
lit up by love's mercy
kindness and compassion

who can help but be
touched
and moved

to respond in dialogue
with open arms
to say I and Thou!
